Farnaz Nadim is a visual artist specializing in illustration and surface pattern design, creating expressive, nature-inspired artwork for children’s books, products, and licensing. Her work blends storytelling, decorative design, and Persian artistic heritage into visually rich compositions.
She holds a Master’s degree in Graphic Design and has a background in Persian traditional art and design. Her thesis, Graphical Aspects of Persian Decorative Patterns, was awarded Best Art Thesis by the Iran Academy of Art in 2008, leading to the beginning of her teaching career at the college level.
Her transition into illustration began through storytelling and reading to her children, where she discovered a deep passion for children’s books and visual narratives. After moving to the United States with her family, she chose to pursue illustration full-time and joined the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), where she continues to develop her professional portfolio.
Farnaz is available for children’s book illustration, surface pattern design, and licensing collaborations, and welcomes opportunities with publishers, creative studios, and brands.
