Farnaz Nadim is a visual artist and illustrator working in illustration, painting, and bookmaking.
She was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and completed her M.A. in Graphic Design at Tarbiat Modarres University. She began her career as an art instructor in 2008, when the Iran Academy of Art awarded her M.A. thesis as the best art thesis.
Farnaz developed an interest in children’s books while her children were exploring the world through books. She started her illustration journey by designing novelty books, in which graphic design and games came together to interact with children and teach them new concepts.
She turned her focus to picture books and digital illustration when she moved to California with her husband and two children, and is looking forward to seeing her books as an author/illustrator in children’s hands all over the world.
